Structural surveys for domestic and commercial property

If you’re buying, selling, re-mortgaging or simply need peace of mind with a potential issue you’ve noticed we can undertake an appraisal of your property to inspect the structural elements, including:

• The main load bearing walls or structural framing.
• The roof structure.
• The floor structure.

These items can be particularly relevant to your house purchase/sale if an issue has been raised during a surveyor’s inspection – a Home Buyers’ report for example.

All our appraisals are undertaken by a chartered structural engineer (MIStructE) and we can discuss your specific requirements and tailor our service level to suit your needs, which avoids a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Our reports are different to a surveyors report although there is some overlap in scope. In broad terms the process involves a visit to the property to undertake the inspection - our inspections are non-intrusive so we won’t cause disruption or disturbance during the inspection. This is followed up with a written report containing our observations and recommendations for further action (if any). We appreciate that a house purchase or sale is stressful enough as it is, and may sometimes depend on the outcome of the findings of professional reports, therefore we will diagnose any issue(s) or provide reassurances where possible to ensure you can proceed with a well informed view.
